Learn about the Algae Production Industry
and Review Financial Models
Algae is one solution to help the US get off of foreign oil, create jobs and reduce CO2 emissions. The National Algae Association, a 501(c)6, invites US Private Equity, Mezzanine and Senior Debt Lenders to attend an educational algae production and market workshop. Attendees will learn about and discuss CAPEX and OPEX financial models and algaenomics, along with biofuel and numerous co-product opportunities. The workshop will be held on July 27th at the Lone Star College Training and Development Center in The Woodlands, Texas from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
The NAA Engineering Consortium has produced preliminary design specs for a 100-acre build-out in response to the 100 Acre Challenge issued at the beginning of 2010. Many scale-up issues have been identified and are being addressed before construction begins.
Commercial-scale algae growing, harvesting and extraction equipment have already been built using off-the-shelf, proven technologies. These algaepreneurs will be on hand to discuss their progress towards fast-tracking commercialization of the algae production industry for fuel and numerous co-product markets and will be able to provide you with first-hand answers to questions about potential financing opportunities.
